Perhaps We Should Doubt Him

In an earlier post, I suggested that we should give Patrick Kennedy the benefit of the doubt regarding his recent mix-up with the law, that we had no reason to disbelieve him we he said he wasn't drinking but disoriented from prescription medication (and therefore shouldn't have been driving anyway).

But now, the Boston Herald is reporting that 'hostess at a popular Capitol Hill watering hole told the Herald she saw him drinking in the hours before the crash'.  That would be, according to the Herald, Hawk & Dove, a bar just down the street from the Capitol on Pennslyvania Avenue that at one time attempted to serve me and a group of people our shots of tequila in plastic cups.  Classy.

But so the man is possibly a drunk, possibly a liar, and definitely an idiot.
